A coalition of reform-minded organizations, spearheaded by the League of Women Voters of Illinois have made redistricting reform a top priority. Passing Senate Joint Resolution Constitutional Amendment 104 or House Joint Resolution Consitutitonal Amendment 56 is just one avenue they are pursuing to achieve this reform.

Contact your local legislator and tell him or her to demand that legislative leaders allow all members of the General Assembly an up or down vote on one of the two identical Constitutional Amendments that contain real reform: SJR-CA 104 and HJR-CA 56.
Tell them that any alternative that gives the power to draw district boundaries back to the politicians is unacceptable.
